Sunday 5 August 2012

I dig deep…. Trying to feel the emotion others have experienced. Visually re-creating mine or someone else’s deepest love, incredible connection or utter freedom is my challenge and my inspiration!

I believe that by surrounding yourself with powerful positive visuals you can change and improve your personal emotional journey!

I believe strongly in Law of Attraction. One of my very favorite talks I ever remember listening to by Abraham-Hicks goes something like this:

….If you get up every morning and start your day with a cup of your favourite tea, wash yourself with your favourite smelling soap, wrap yourself up in your favourite towel, wear your favourite outfit with your favourite perfume, eat your favourite food, listen to your favourite music, talk to your favourite people, go to your favourite coffee shop, …. Well…. You’re in for a pretty good day!!

So if by creating personal happiness through surrounding myself and my thoughts with my favourite things and my creation becomes one of your favourite things?... the cycle continues!
What a fabulous thing!

How to Buy my Art

How To Buy or Commission Art

If you have decided that one or more of my pieces might add some soul into your life and living space please note that some of my work is available to purchase on this site. Just, send me an email and tell me which painting you would like to purchase. Please see below for payment options.

I also accept commission work and would love to discuss and make life of any ideas you may have in mind. Kindly contact me on email, nicolesanderson@gmail.com. I love a new challenge!

I’ve tried to make the idea to buy art online as seamless as possible. I make sure I take accurate shots of my work. The paint i use while working is important to me and of the highest quality to avoid any fading. All my clients say that my paintings look better in person because you get to see more of the texture and because the sizes are normally much larger and have much more impact... So if you like it online, I think you will like it even better in person.

Payment Methods
I accept the following payment methods:
  1. PayPal
  2. Online bank transfer (local & international)
  3. Cash (if you live in my area)
Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy
If your painting gets damaged in the mail, or if you have changed your mind on the purchase, please notify me by email (nicolesanderson@gmail.com) within 7 days of receiving it and include a description of the damage along with a photo if possible. I will happily refund you 100%. Keep all the packaging material intact, as you will most likely have to ship it back to me so I can either repair, replace or refund the work or the money.

Shipping
Paintings can be shipped anywhere in the world. I am able to help with quotations and will make sure all pieces are packed professionally and with great care. Shipping costs will be the responsibility of the buyer but i am happy to help in paying from this side and adding the cost onto the cost of the painting to avoid any complications.

Nicole Sanderson's Gallery

A spiritual reaching. Oil on Canvas. 2013. 110cm x 125cm

The accomplishment of connection. The flight. The freedom. The joy. The reach.
....Manifested peace.

"Freedom." Oil on Canvas. 2012.
"She was in a dark place but she was free! She breathed in long deep breathes... ... and flooded her soul with energy only the stars could muster up! Her body was as light as a feather! She soared the skies..... ...... ........ ...... .....
When she opened her eyes, she was still in that dark place....
But her mind was at peace!
She is free!"

"Nature's Nurture" Oil on Canvas. 2012. 110cm x 55cm

"After the storm, she opened her arms and joined the world in flight. There was nothing she could not be, do or have!"

My newest painting has been inspired by and will be auctioned at the Think Pink Golf day, Chapman Golf Club, Harare on the 25th October 2012. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Think Pink Organization supporting Breast Cancer Awareness. I really look forward to the evening and participating in making a difference.

"Connected" 2012. Oil on Canvas. 125cm x 110cm

57 days and 56 nights later, he confessed his undying love. There was an undeniable connection! She loved yoga, massage and the wilderness and he was a fly fisherman! They were a match made in heaven!
They JUST gelled!!

"The red dress polkadot lady" 2009. Acrylic on canvas 90cmx 70cm.

Zinzele believed that if she dressed in her best dress, ate her favourite food, listened to her favourite music, spent time with her favourite people, and did the things that made her feel great, nothing could go wrong! And she was right.

"Lady Chatterley"2012 Acrylic on canvas. 140cmx120cm

The story concerns a young married woman, Constance (Lady Chetterley), whose upper-class husband, Clifford Chatterley, has been paralyzed due to a wae injury..in addition to Clifford's physical limitations, his emotional neglect of Constance forces distance between the couple. Her sexual frustration leads her into an affair with the gamekeeper, Oliver Mellors. The class difference between the couple highlights a major motif of the novel which is the unfair dominance of intellectuals over the working class. The novel is about Constance's realization that she cannot live with the mind alone: she must also be alive physically. This realization stems from a heightened sexual experience Constance has only felt with Mellors, proving that love can only happen with the element of the body, not the mind.

"Maid in Mana"  2011 Tryptic. Acrylic on Canvas. 3 x 130 x 50cm.

They took long deep breaths... in the salty hot sun of the Mana pools Game Park! .... Grounded and connected to source, Mana Pools tattooed more than just their souls!

"Swept" 2012. Acrylic on canvas 120cm x 140 cm

Amidst all of the chaos, Sarah was determined to keep grounded, calm and in control. There was nothing anyone could take away from her with the amount of love she felt for him. She was swept and she was untouchable!

"Contour" 2011. Acrylic and ink on canvas. 100cmx 85cm

Jayne was desperate to have her portrait completed now! She was terrified she might never feel this way before.

"Untitled" 2011. Acrylic on canvas. 114cm x 90cm
Old man Jack was a banker his whole life. It was only when he was 72 that he felt the need to go on a journey to find his soul and to reflect. 72 years gone by..

"Vegas" 2012. Acrylic on canvas. 110cm x 50cm

The smell of the red scarf reminded her of the night he took her to the drive-in. They were crazy about each other from the moment they met, and it didn't matter that he drove a Ford Pinto.

"The carrier lady" 2009. Acrylic on canvas. 120cm x 100cm
I met Joyce on one my painting days in Domboshawa. I had seen her on the two previous visits to the rocks, and had always been taken away by how badly she sang, but how jubilant she was!

" Dissolved" 2012. Acrylic on canvas. 100cm x 100cm

If i liked cold water, i would find the biggest water lilies ever and float down the river on them while the world went by.

"Euphoria" 2011. Acrylic on canvas. 90cm x 70cm
When i watched Paige dance, it reminded me of how i felt when i worked!

"Fiery Autumn1 "2012. Acrylic on canvas. 130cm x 80cm
She thought she was hiding her feelings, but she may have well have been naked on a bench in central park. Nothing could hide her broken heart! Not even her beauty.

"Fiery Autumn 2" 2012. Acrylic on canvas. 100cm x 90cm

She just collapsed into a ball and her heart broke a little more. It was the comfort of the falling leaves that kept her going.

"Untitled" 2009. Acrylic on canvas. 90cm x 70cm
i had an out of body experience and all of a sudden things seemed to clarify themselves. i suppose i needed to take a step back and look at the situation from afar!

"...Just...Breathe" 2011. Acrylic on canvas. 114cm x 90cm
When she couldn't take the pressure anymore, she pushed everything and everyone away. ..to breathe...

"Lady Lavender" 2012. Acrylic on canvas. 110cm x 50cm

It was only in her late 20's that she felt comfortable in her own skin. What had been said to her when she was 6 had taken so much away from her for so many years. Now she knows how damaging words can be!

"Mr Tabruk" 2012. Acrylic on canvas. 130cm x 80cm

Mr Tabtuk always smelt of the curing tobacco and a handful of workshop oil. Mysterious, meticulous and mildly odd!

"The Ndebele medicine man" 2006. Acrylic on canvas. 190cm x 70cm

"Cosmopolitan" 2011. Acrylic on canvas. 100cm x 85cm

Her sensuality was as delicious as vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, and freshly squeezed lime juice

"Sauvignon" 2011. Acrylic on canvas. 100cm x 100cm
Tessa and I, like old times, caught up over another glass of wine... and then another one!

"...They both told me they loved me" 2011. Acrylic on canvas. 90cm x 70cm

Nicole Sanderson: Biography

                     Nicole Sanderson Biography

Born 1984, Harare, Zimbabwe

Nicole is a Zimbabwean born artist. She grew up on a tobacco farm in Nyazura, where she nurtured her talent and developed her artistic skills from a very young age, later completing her degree in Fine Art (painting) at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, USA in 2006. Thereafter Nicole lived and worked in New York gaining valuable experience in an art gallery in Soho, New York. She has also spent time painting in the south of France where she learnt to use acrylic paint while working on site, travelling from village to village. Nicole is incredibly passionate about her work and art and is now pursuing her dream as an artist, painting full time from her studio in Harare.

Nicole is fascinated by the process of creating art and by the development of an “idea” into image. She is inspired by human emotion, anatomy and colour and generally prefers to paint on large canvases which she feels have more impact on her viewer. Her primary choice of medium is acrylic on canvas although she has experimented in a variety of different mediums and techniques.

Recently Nicole has exhibited in Zimbabwe and Zambia, but in the past, has travelled extensively and exhibited in the USA and in France. She is also an accredited International Baccalaureate Arts Examiner, and receives and grades student portfolio’s from all over the world bi-annually.

Now settled in Harare, Nicole is focusing on her painting career more than ever and looks forward to an exciting future and a progressive and successful career.

“THE MASTER IN THE ART OF LIVING draws no distinction between work and play, labor and leisure, mind and body, education and recreation. Simply pursue your vision of excellence through whatever you are doing! Leave others to determine whether you are working or playing! To yourself, it always feels that you are doing both!!” (Abraham Hicks Publications)
